Updated TTHM Results

Members/Owners, TTHM results are in from July 12, 2017.  All the sample results are within normal range, and the running annual average (RAA) has also returned to normal.  We are now in complete compliance with TCEQ regulations.

The following is a breakdown of the past year relating to the TTHM sample results that led to notifications being sent out every quarter until the RAA was resolved.

  • January 14, 2016 - All samples were within normal range.
  • April 6, 2016 - All samples were within normal range.
  • August 5, 2016 - One out of 4 samples representative of the whole KWSC service area came back at 224 PPB (Parts Per Billion gallons of water).  The other 3 sample sites were within the normal range of 80 Parts Per Billion gallons of water.  This one sample in one part of the system was what had to be reduced based on the RAA.
  • October 11, 2016 - All samples were slightly over the 80 PPB.  These sample results were instrumental in the expediency of the new aeration project at the water treatment plant.  The Clearwell Aeration Project was designed for the reduction of TTHM's.
  • January 30, 2017 - All samples were within normal range.
  • April 6, 2017 - All samples were within normal range.
  • July 12, 2017 - All samples were within normal range.  The running annual average is now back to normal.
