KWSC members, the leak has been repaired and we are pressurizing the system. This is a slow process and must be done with care to ensure no further secondary leaks are created. You will likely experience cloudy water, this is air in the lines and will dissipate over time and with flushing. KWSC crews will be aggressively flushing all main lines to get water moving and remove the air. While KWSC does have an emergency phone line, our guys would thoroughly appreciate a good night's rest, so please only call if it's an actual emergency. Thank you for your patience the last couple of days and for your patience while we wait for samples to come back from the lab for boil notice recension.

Crews are in the process of welding up the new fitting, once that is finished water service will be restored. We are hopeful it will be sometime this evening. Please remember those affected are under Boil Water Notice until the notice is officially rescinded.

Good morning,
The water lines were valved off and draining of the system began at 5:00 this morning. All necessary crew members and parts are on site and ready to go as soon as the lines have drained sufficiently. The repair itself shouldn’t be a long process once it begins. Please bear with us as we work to repair this line and restore your water service. We will keep you updated.
Thank you.

Members,
Our crew has been working non-stop to chip away the concrete surrounding the valve that has been leaking. Unfortunately, we have not been able to tighten the valve and seal the leak. As you know, most of you have maintained water service and will continue to do so. Please keep your troughs and bathtubs full while repairs are ongoing in case of sudden water outage. We will keep you updated as we know more.

Good Morning,
The valves will be turned off at 10:45 A.M. With the amount of notice we had, we were able to ensure the system was completely full before repairs began. With that being said, barring any complications, most of you will continue to have water service with some pressure fluctuations. We will keep you updated with any changes.
