Work is continuing on a major leak on the 24” concrete line from 195 pump station to Ivy Mountain Distribution tank, this line feeds our main distribution tank. It is in a very remote area and access is difficult. Unfortunately, getting heavy equipment in there has been nearly impossible and we must depend on more time consuming methods to expose the pipe and chip away at the concrete surrounding it. This particular leak is dangerous with pressures within the pipe hovering near 200psi. At this time, the line has been drained for repairs, an evaluation for repair has been made, and we will work as quickly as possible. Be aware that getting parts and supplies to the area is difficult and also takes time. At this point, all members are subject to water loss at some point today. We are unable to pinpoint exactly when that will be since we are running off tanks and it depends on the level of conservation used by all of us. Please be patient with us as we work to get this leak repaired.
