Update-Free Chlorine Conversion
September 06, 2024
We are currently on day 12 of our burn process and we have successfully purged most of the main lines. However, some customers may still experience brown water accompanied by a strong chlorine odor. The brown discoloration is due to sediment from the pipes and the chlorine levels remain within the limits established by the state.
We have received numerous requests to flush residential lines and this process is ongoing. If you experience any discoloration in your water, please contact us so we can address it promptly. We are progressively moving further into the system, and areas located farther from the main lines may still require flushing. Additionally, all sites that previously had low chlorine levels now show readings compliant with state regulations and we are in communication with TCEQ regarding when it will be appropriate to lift the Boil Notice.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.
