Now Hiring: Customer Service Representative/Admin/ Billing Clerk

This position is responsible for all payment processing, billing processing, customer relations, work orders, disconnects for non-pay, reconnect lists, etc…

  • Responsible for front office customer service.
  • Waits on customers by taking payments at the front counter.
  • Responsible for helping new customers sign up for service.
  • Operates computer and other standard office machines and equipment.
  • Processing the night drop and customer payments daily.
  • Processing the mail daily.
  • Answers telephone and handles routine inquiries from the public reporting utility problems, direct calls, email and fax.
  • Responsible for reconciling cash registers at the end of the day and bank deposits.
  • Generates work orders and then completes them in the system.
  • Composes routine customer correspondence with excellent communication skills.
  • Process payments for Hamilton Electric customers.
  • Responsible for the bank deposit for Hamilton Electric customers.
  • Responsible for bill collecting from rental customers.
  • Work with property management companies and rentals.
  • Must be able to follow procedures and policies as directed in the Corporation's Tariff.
  • Assists in preparation of route sheets for meter readers.
  • Assume any other reasonable duties Management may deem necessary to the operation of the Corporation.

Education:      Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with two (2) years prior experience in Customer Service.


  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, write and speak English Language
  • Work under general supervision.
  • Follow oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with State agencies, professionals, other employees, Board of Directors, customers/members and the general public.
