Field Distribution Operator needed for rural water company.

General Description:

Performs general maintenance on the distribution system, ie. Repair leaks, install meters, make road bores, and install all types of pipe.

Education:

* Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Requirements:

Class A CDL

TCEQ issued C Water license

Preferred Experience:

Prior backhoe experience

Skills:

* Proficient in the operation of the corporation’s equipment (Backhoes, service trucks, trucks used for transporting equipment, boring machines, ditching machines, pneumatic equipment and all small hand tools).

* Ability to maintain equipment and vehicles as assigned.

* Work under general supervision

* Follow oral or written instructions

Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to the operations of standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, copiers, telephone and other office equipment. Requires ability to perform strenuous labor tasks such as digging, lifting, pulling and pushing, carrying loads in excess of fifty (50) pounds, and climbing ladders. Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
